International Business Times’ website broke Fallout 4 review embargo

Fallout 4- probably the most anticipated game of 2015, and gamers and fans are so pumped up once they heard the news during E3 2015 that Fallout 4 is set to release this month. Can’t blame the hype, the Fallout 3 was released last 2008 and Fallout New Vegas in 2010 so it has been 5 long years with no Fallout games from Bethesda so fans are willing to get any little details about the upcoming Fallout 4.

Sadly, there’s a thing called embargo.

So what exactly is embargo? It is a mutual agreement between journalists and video game publishers that journalists are not allowed to say anything about the game, including reviews, until the set time and date has expired and it applies to all video games.

Fallout 4 embargo is set until Monday, November 9 at 8:00AM EST or if here in the Philippines, it’s going to be on Tuesday, November 10 at 8:00PM however, International Business Times broke this embargo and posted their review in their website with a date of November 7, 2015, 9:20 AM EST, 3 days before the embargo ends.

If you’re going to check the site, they already put it down but Google already indexed the articles and you can check the cache version here.

If you’re used to reading video games review or watching it on Youtube, it seems like that review was rushed and the reviewer didn’t play the game as long as possible. Very few details were given but on the conclusion, it is clearly stated that the game is bad especially for the first time Fallout gamers.

“Fallout 4” is by no means a bad game, but, past the veneer of ruined Americana, I’m having a difficult time believing it’s going to live up to the hype preceding it. The pacing ruins an otherwise interesting character motivation. But there is a staggering amount to do, places to find and Deathclaws to challenge. If you’re a “Fallout” fanatic, “Fallout 4″ will be more of what you love — I’m just not seeing what’s really in it for newcomers.”

Well, whether the games is bad or not, hyped or no hype at all, just enjoy the game you love.

Fallout 4 is set to release worldwide on November 10 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
