Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain gets a new update patch. Fixes Quiet save data bug

Konami has released the latest patch update of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for PS4 and PC. The said update fixes the Quiet save data bug that was discovered after the game release. The players who experienced this bug has reportedly lost the entire saved game completely, resulting to the loss of the progress of the player.

The latest update will take 435.8 MB of you hard disk space on the PS4 and the release of the update on the rest of the platforms will soon follow.

The patch is called version 1.03 and the changelog for PS4 version are listed below.

  • Fixed an issue where under specific conditions, the game halts progression in the black screens displayed after clearing Mission 29 and Mission 42.
  • Fixed the issue where once the prior issue is triggered, the save data goes directly to the black screen and game progression is halted.
  • Fixed the issue where using the selection controls during the tutorial when first buying an FOB the game halted progression.

PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain also gets a 72.5 MB update 1.005 and the changelog is as follows.

  • Save Data is backed up now. When the save data can’t be read from Steam Cloud, the backup save data will be now used.

The latest masterpiece of Hideo Kojima – Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is still available here in the Philippines for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
