Metal Gear voice actor says Kojima Productions is already disbanded

The news that Konami fired Hideo Kojima has been all over the news the past couple of months however, both Konami and Kojima himself is quiet regarding their situation. It is also said that Konami will remove all Kojima Production logo in their products and the team will just finish Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but these are all speculations and both parties are not confirming nor denying the rumors but the Metal Gear Solid voice actor said that Kojima Productions is already gone and they are forced to disband.

Otsuka Akio, the Japanese voice actor behind Solid Snake and Big Boss said on Twitter and translated by Gematsu that Kojima Productions is no longer a developing studio. “[Kojima Productions] has been disbanded,: he said. :It appears that the work that the team has been putting their utmost effort into is nearly complete,” Akio added.

Despite all of these bad news, Akio assured fans that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be the greatest production of Kojima Productions.

“I’m not exaggerating when I say that I expect it will become their greatest masterpiece,” he continued. “I couldn’t help it. I just wanted to say ‘Kept you waiting, huh?’ But even if this is the end, Metal Gear Solid is immortal!

This is a great news to all Metal Gear Solid fans and gamers who patiently waiting for this game and no wonder that it is one of the most anticipated games of 2015. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be out on Sept. 1, 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One and Sept. 15, 2015 for PC.
