PS Vita Gamers Rejoice! Games Are Still Coming to PS Vita

I almost sold mine – glad I didn’t.

Time and again we hear from  the racket of analysts and games executives routinely forewarning the decline and eventual demise of the PSP’s predecessor – the PS Vita.

That’s not the case as it turns out.

Shuhei Yoshida of Sony’s global head of first-party studios, when asked of first-party games for the Vita said, “…it’s not like we don’t have any development at all. We do, but our focus is on PS4 and PlayStation VR, and we are happy to see third-parties and indies support it…”

Asked whether or not he sees a future for the platform beyond 2016, Yoshida replied: “Yeah I do, but we have to see. Nowadays, still people are excited and using Vita very frequently, it’s a great portable gaming system. As long as there is a demand, why not?”

That’s enough to send the PS Vita’s fans into high-octane overdrive.

I can’t even begin to imagine a gaming world without my favorite Vita Games: Persona 4, Need for Speed Most Wanted, God Eater 2, Killzone: Mercenary, Gravity Rush, the list goes on.

So, long story short: IT’S TRUE! SONY WILL STILL MAKE GAMES FOR PS VITA!
