Sony has released a rather minor and optional firmware update for the PS4 today. The update is not mandatory, so you can continue on with your online shenanigans with your PS4 and you wont be interrupted by the system to update your firmware.
The update comes as no surprise at all since Sony has already tweeted about it a few days ago.
PS4 system software update 2.57 coming soon, it's a minor update that improves stability of some features.

And just like in the tweet, the update only has this to bring to the table:
- System software stability during use of some features has been improved.
You can update your console by going to Settings > System Software Update.
