Famitsu has announced that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will be released in Japan on February 25, 2016, however, no word yet for a western release of the game.
Dead or Alive Xtreme is a spin-off series from popular Dead Or Alive fighting game franchise. In this game, the girls from the Dead Or Alive series do away with their fighting styles and play beach volleyball in tight swim suites, do some modeling, other mini-games. This game is more of an eye candy for fans of the game.
The first version of this spin-off series was titled: Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball was released for the original Xbox back in 2003 with a sequel that came in 2006 for the Xbox 360 titled: Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. The new game, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, has dropped the “Beach Volleyball” in the title most likely indicates that the core of gameplay does not revolve entirely around the volleyball game anymore.
No word on a western release and by the look of things, there’s currently no plan for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 to be released for western audiences.
We announced DOAX3 (Working Title) today, but it will be made exclusively for Japan and Asian market.
