It seems like Ubisoft will shift to another direction for their Assassin’s Creed franchise as the yearly tradition of having a new Assassin’s Creed game will skip this year and the future AC title will be release in 2017.
The rumor was first released in 4chan and later on discussed in popular gaming forum NeoGAF. The rumor was also confirmed to be true by gaming site Kotaku as they are known for leaking video game news before they were released by it publishers.
The setting for the next Assassin’s Creed game will take place in Egypt and the ships are also back similar to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
According to the anonymous person who posted first in 4chan who claims to be the developer who is working on the next Assassin’s Creed title, the game will follow the steps of Witcher III, so imagine an Assassin’s Creed game in conventional RPG type of gameplay if ever the rumor is true.
To those Assassin’s Creed fans who are expecting a new game this end of the year, don’t you worry because you’ll get enough AC goodness this year as Ubisoft is also set to release their side scrolling Assassin’s Creed games this first quarter of the year entitled Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Russia plus the release of the movie later this year.
