Until Dawn (Aug. 25, 2015 – PS4)

PS4 fans have already been treated with awesome PS4 exclusive this year – Bloodborne (forget about the other exclusive game – The Order: 1886), but Sony is not yet done with the exclusive title for this year as a survival horror game is set to release on PS4 this August.

Formerly announced as PS3 exclusive, Until Dawn will define the term replay value of the game as it is rumored that you will understand the story of the game after multiple playthrough. The game also features a “butterfly effect” wherein every player’s decision will result to the outcome of the story. Until Dawn also stars Hollywood celebrities like Hayden Panettiere, Rami Malek and Meaghan Martin.

This massive open world game takes place nine years after Ground Zeroes and players will take control of Venom Snake, also known as The Big Boss.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain maybe the most talked about game of the year, not just because of many years of production, but for the departure of Hideo Kojiman, the man behind Metal Gear franchise, from its mother company Konami but despite of all this controversies, this much-awaited installment of Metal Gear is set to release on the first day of September 2015.

Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection (Oct. 9, 2015 – PS4)

Uncharted fans may have to wait until first quarter of 2016 before Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will release but Sony is giving something to gamers to keep them busy while waiting for Uncharted 4, the Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection. This remaster version includes all three games from PS3 in one disc – Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drabke’s Deception.

Bluepoint Games, whose remaster credits include Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus is behind this another remaster masterpiece and is rumored to run in 1080p and 60FPS with better lighting, textures, and models.. While the graphical power of this game may not be enticing to Uncharted fans as they already played the exact same game before, Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection includes Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta, a sort of a preview of the multiplayer feature of the upcoming Uncharted 4 game.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (Oct. 23, 2015 – PS4, Xbox One, PC)

AC Syndicate

We may have been overdosed with Assassin’s Creed game every year and with the dismal release of Assassin’s Creed Unity, why should gamers spend their hard earned money for another Assassin’s Creed game and Ubisoft has simple answer to that – two protagonists. For the first time in AC franchise, players can control two characters, almost similar to Grand Theft Auto V, and another first, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will feature a female protagonist under the name of Evie.

Set in 1868 London, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate also added a new feature to its game like rope launcher and transport system like carriages and trains which also can be used for assassinating Templars.

Fallout 4 (Nov. 10, 2015 – PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Bethesda opened the recently concluded E3 with a loud bang as they announced that Fallout 4 is for real and is set to release later this year.

After the announcement, fans went crazy over this as the last last Fallout game was released last 2008 (I skipped New Vegas, BTW) so gamers have waited for 7 years for another Fallout game and one fan went to the extreme as he shipped 2,000 bottle caps in exchange for free Fallout 4 copy. That’s a big Pip-Boy thumbs up for you.

Speaking of Pip Boy, a Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Collector’s Edition pre-order was announced recently that includes wearable Pip-boy wrist gadget, Pip-Boy pocket guide, Vault Tec Perk poster, Robco Industries stand, capsule case, and Fallout 4 game in collectible metal case.

This maybe the year of Star Wars as a new movie will come out this December, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, and what a way to celebrate the release of the new movie by releasing a new Star Wars game, Star Wars Battlefront.

This game is the third release of the Star Wars Battlefront series and players will have an option to have a first person or third person view. Just like Skyrim, isn’t it? Also, you get to explore planets from Star Wars universe such as Endor, Hoth, Tatooine and Sullust and you get to choose to control a Rebel Alliance soldier or join the Dark Force by controlling an Imperial Stormtrooper. Sure, the real fanboys will be alive once again starting Nov. 17.

The Ghost of Sparta is back and this time, in different console. Kratos will climb Mount Olympus once again to have a bloody revenge, armed not just with his double-chained blade, but also with godly graphics of 1080p and 60fps.

Initially released as a PS3 title and dubbed as the “Most Anticipated Game” during it’s time and garnering an almost perfect scores from game reviewers, critiques and gamers, God of War III Remastered will surely maximize the power of PS4 come its release date. Aside from the enhanced graphics, God of War III Remastered will also feature a photo mode allowing players to edit their photos and share their favorite moments and I don’t know how it is different from Share Button feature from PS4. I guess we’ll have to wait until July 14 to find out.

Final Fantasy VII PC Port (Holiday 2015 – PS4)

Final Fantasy Remake is one of the biggest announcement in the last E3 and fans have been clamoring for the remake of this game for years however, when Square Enix announced that they are releasing the PC port of Final Fantasy VII to PS4, gamers didn’t react that much, saying that this is the biggest video game troll done by Square Enix but despite all of these, Final Fantasy VII is still a great addition to PS4 gaming library. It may be the exact game from PS1, ported to PC then ported to PS4, but who cares? FF7 is one of the most epic and memorable JRPG’s ever created and I know many gamers will not mind playing this again before the much awaited release of the remake of Final Fantasy VII.
